Dear Parents

Thank you for all your support over the last term.

S.A.T.’s
This is a most important term as the children prepare for the forthcoming examinations in Maths, English and Science. Your child needs your support during this period. Below is a list of practical ideas that may be useful.
Does your child:

· Have a protractor, ruler, pencils, cartridge pen, crayons and simple calculator.

· Know his or her tables to x10 thoroughly.

· Bring his/her maths books home for extra practice.

· Complete Maths tasks.

· Complete Literacy tasks.

· Learn their spellings.

· Read regularly at home to himself or herself.

· Read or share a book with you on a regular basis.

· Discuss stories they have read with you.

· Discuss what they have learnt in all subject areas.

· Enjoy coming to school and learning.

Ensure children get enough sleep in the lead-up to the tests in May. You will be surprised how tired they will get!

P.E.
Please make sure your child has shorts, T-shirt, trainers or plimsolls. Tracksuits may be worn outside in cold weather. All garments should be clearly named.
In the interest of a child’s safety, jewellery, including earrings, must not be worn during P.E./Games lessons.
Long hair should be tied back.
